The Evangelical Adoption Crusade
A pretty great read on the topic of adoption. This article brings up a lot of issues pertaining to Western entitlement and that pesky white knight complex. I don’t think I’ve ever been interested in birthing children for a myriad of reasons, but I’ve always entertained the thought of possibly adopting one day. I’m not so sure now because the odds of screwing things up seem so high.
In any case, taking pride in your adoptive children not recognizing their home country’s flag is probably a sign you are an asshole.
